24 Days

Hello!

Wow, it's been a while hey. I last wrote when I had 5 months until my holiday, now it's less then a month away!!

So in all the time that has passed, I'm sure you are curious if my plans have changed, how the saving is going and am I still excited?!

Well my plans changed.

I'm now flying to Washington DC on the Wednesday afternoon and returning on the Thursday night, I'm staying with all my fabulous old roommates for three nights from Friday-Sunday and we are doing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and dressing as all the fairies. I'm going to be TINKERBELL! So I brought everything for my costume yesterday and while Nan is up we are going to make it.

So my time just got even busier with an inside trip into DC that wasn't originally on the cards but I figure, I'm only young once and who doesn't like an adventure right? And to top it off Zak still has no idea about my surprise. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

My savings account is blooming, I recently exchanged moolah over and have $900 cash as well as another $1200 on my debit card, and that's not including the $1000 I'll receive on the Wednesday over there from my pay going into my account. One would say I'm more prepared for this 8 days then my 12 months I spent over there!

The only thing left to buy is my insurance which I will do next fortnight and then I'm all set to fly out on Sunday 22nd!

Until I get ready to board that plane and enjoy some layover time in LA.

Stay Magical

So I'll be posting in the meantime with updates and how I am going in regards to my flights and preparing for my journey back to where the magic is made, and you are never to old for pixie dust!

Happy Slapsgiving!

Hello!

So what's happened since last week? Well I went and had Thanksgiving in Maryland with Lauren and her family and spent a few hours in Washington DC which was fantastic! It was great to escape the Disney bubble even if it was for just 72 hours. I came back refreshed and ready to finish the next 6 weeks of my program. Yes that's all that is left just 6 weeks.

While I was in DC I did all the touristy things :
  • I went to the Capitol
  • 2 Smithsonians
  • The Washington Monument
  • The Lincoln Memorial
  • The Reflection Pool
  • The White House
  • FBI Headquarters
And they were all fantatsic. Lauren and I then went out to dinner at TGIFridays before we headed back to her house and slept. We woke up the next morning and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV, before we jumped in the van and headed over to her Aunts house for Thanksgiving. While there I experienced a traditional Thanksgiving with Turkey and all the trimmings and then lots of pie. Americans sure know how to throw a feast! After that we sat down watched some football before we headed back to Laurens where we watched the Slapsgiving episode from How I Met Your Mother and then it was off to bed again. The next morning it was unfortunatly time for me to head back home, but not before a small amount of Black Friday shopping. It wasnt as crazy as I had heard it would be which was fantastic considering people get trampled on Black Friday and some even die. :/ EEP.

That is really all that happened this week, I shall leave you with some photos of my vacation.

Until next time,
Stay Magical
