Winter Formal

Hello everyone.

So since my last post has occurred not much has happened, I have been opening at work all this week and was lucky enough to get 2 days of instead of 3 as normal. This week however my apartment celebrated "Fakesgiving" as we weren't all together for Thanksgiving and then last night we had our college program winter formal and it was themed as the Imagination Celebration and there were some very special guests there:

• Peter Pan and Wendy 

Clearly I had to get in line to have my photo with Peter and I even crowed with him. Then it was off to see the Hatter and I did the Little Teapot Dance with him, and he sang the words. It was a lot of fun. Then I caught up with the roomies and took some photos before we headed home as we were all tired.

Today I did nothing except sleep and watch TV - it was a perfect day off. I also got my package from my Mummy which included Tim Tams, Freddo Frogs and Cadburys chocolate, I'm all set for the next 5 weeks to pass quickly so I can see her again! And the sibling of course. My roommate also told me today she was talking to Peter Pan and his crazy stalkers and I am NOT one of them, but that they actually like me which was nice and he loves me back. Needless to say my day was made!

That's really all that's happening at the moment, everyone is gearing up for Christmas and then New Years, I have to start getting ready to ship some things home, which I'm partially dreading cost wise, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Happy Slapsgiving!

Hello!

So what's happened since last week? Well I went and had Thanksgiving in Maryland with Lauren and her family and spent a few hours in Washington DC which was fantastic! It was great to escape the Disney bubble even if it was for just 72 hours. I came back refreshed and ready to finish the next 6 weeks of my program. Yes that's all that is left just 6 weeks.

While I was in DC I did all the touristy things :

• I went to the Capitol 
• 2 Smithsonians 
• The Washington Monument 
• The Lincoln Memorial 
• The Reflection Pool 
• The White House
• FBI Headquarters

And they were all fantatsic. Lauren and I then went out to dinner at TGIFridays before we headed back to her house and slept. We woke up the next morning and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV, before we jumped in the van and headed over to her Aunts house for Thanksgiving. While there I experienced a traditional Thanksgiving with Turkey and all the trimmings and then lots of pie. Americans sure know how to throw a feast! After that we sat down watched some football before we headed back to Laurens where we watched the Slapsgiving episode from How I Met Your Mother and then it was off to bed again. The next morning it was unfortunatly time for me to head back home, but not before a small amount of Black Friday shopping. It wasnt as crazy as I had heard it would be which was fantastic considering people get trampled on Black Friday and some even die. :/ EEP.

50 Days

Hello everyone,

Wow is time flying here in Florida - there is just 50 days left of my program, that's it. So we left off at the end of Halloween and my Strep throat. Well I can now officially say both of those things have gone and Halloween has been replaced with Christmas!

This past week I have been fairly busy, on Tuesday I went to Night Of Stars with Allison and then we went out for a drink and dinner at Beaches and Cream. It was a fantastic.

On Wednesday I went and seen my best friend Wreck it Ralph! He was pretty excited to see me and he even knew I was ticklish! I think a little bird told him about that though. It was really good to see him and I had a blast. I also went and seen my boss and The Incredibles. (Frozone has my heart) Then I caught up with my best friend Zak and we went out to dinner before we headed to Retro Room for JoJo's birthday. I had a blast and I got to catch up with all my ICON family as well which was nice.

On Friday before work I went to the 11:30am show of Beauty and the Beast and saw my best friend Beast at Hollywood studios, he was even kind enough to get me VIP seating! After the show I went and seen him and you could tell he was pretty excited I went. Then it was off to work which was alright, and that's how I started one of the worst work weeks of my time here at Disney.

I even wore my Beast shirt to see him! 

So that then started the worst week of work I have ever experienced. I had guests swear at me, call my incompetent and that I shouldn't be on desk, throw our phone and their credit card at me, I burst into tears twice on the same day because of separate guests. I was given the wrong information and therefore gave a guest the wrong information, then was told that I "dodge" my job (meaning I don't do it properly and am never on position). I have never felt more low and worthless in my career and I rang my mum in hysterics and asked to be on the next flight home, however she didn't and I'm still here.

That is pretty much all that has happened this week so far, however I did have 3 days off, so I went to Magic Kingdom yesterday and got some photos with Tigger which was nice, and started filming things for my project I'm working on.

Today I went to Hollywood and I went and seen my best friend again at Jedi Training and got photos with him which was nice.

 Why yes, I am wearing a Stormtrooper shirt.

That's pretty much all that has happened, I go back to work tomorrow and I go to Laurens next Wednesday which I'm excited for! I'm leaving the Disney bubble for 72 hours!

Hello November.

Hello.

Wow I feel like I haven't stopped typing to you lately. I guess that's what happens when you have a busy month like I did. So it didn't really stop, it was Halloween, and I carved my first ever pumpkin and celebrated the holiday in America, where it is really, really celebrated. I carved Peter Pan into my pumpkin and it turned out fantastic, I was really surprised, and then before I knew it it was the first of November. Whelp. Where has time gone? It feel like yesterday I wrote my first post saying I had landed in the USA.

Moving on from Halloween, I came down with a sore throat on Sunday so I started cold and flu tablets, hot tea with honey, advil, hot soup, water - the whole works. It wasn't getting better and I spent 3 days at home off in bed, I went to work yesterday and was informed that someone had actually gotten Strep throat. I started freaking out, so this morning I finally caved and after 44 weeks and 2 bouts of tonsillitis, I finally went to a doctor. $106 and a confirmed case of Strep I was out of there. There was a bright side to this story though, I knew the medication she put me on and I got it free from the Publix Pharmacy down the road. So I'm now on anti-biotics for the next 10 days, still highly contagious until roughly 11am tomorrow morning when they finally start to kick in, hooray!

Aside from that, nothing else had happened, but it has only been like 2 days since we last spoke. So with only 8 weeks left I have 5 major milestones left in my stay:

• Thanksgiving with Lauren 
• Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party
• Graduation 
• Christmas
• New Years 

Not long to go now until I'm on a big jet plane flying back to Australia. I'm getting excited, and nervous at the same time, I mean I can fly short journeys by myself, but I'm not sure how I'm going to go for 20ish hours, but we shall see.
